UPSC CDS Result 2012
Combined Defense Services Entrance Exam (CDS), regarded as one of the prestigious entrance examination in India. Union Public Service Commission declared the final list of selected candidates on 16 November 2011 for those who have taken the exam in February 2011 and the interviews were organized by Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence. Some of the names indicated are common in all the three lists. 
The Candidates who have cleared the CDS Entrance Exam will be offered admission into the following courses:
- 132nd Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun
- Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala
- 191st Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course
There are a total of 250 vacancies and is divided in the following ways:
- 32 vacancies reserved for NCC 'C' Certificate (Army Wing) holders)
- 40 for Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala (2 for Hydro/38 for Executive General Service) (including 06 vacancies reserved for NCC 'C' Certificate (Naval Wing) holders)
- 32 for Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-flying) Training Course
The CDS Entrance Exam Result is not inclusive of the result of the Medical Examination of the candidates. Since the verification of date of birth and educational qualification are still under process by the head quarters therefore the selection is still provisional. All the candidates in the list are requested to forward their original certificates in support of Date of Birth/Educational Qualification etc., certificates claimed by them. The candidates must also send the Photostat attested copies to the Army Headquarters/Naval Headquarters/Air Headquarters according to their choice. In case, there is a change of address, the candidates are advised to notify the Army Headquarters/Naval Headquarters/Air Headquarters directly.
