SNAP 2014: 7 Tips to score well in AR & LR section
SNAP 2014 is just round the corner. Less than three weeks are left for the exam. It will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2014. The exam is conducted for admissions to management programmes in 13 institutes under Symbiosis International University (SIU).

The written test is the multiple-choice objective test. There are four sections in the test: General English: Reading Comprehension & Verbal Ability, Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, General Awareness and last section Analytical & Logical Reasoning. Candidates have to answer 150 questions in the test.
Out of the four sections, maximum marks are dedicated to AR and LR. Therefore, it is important for all the candidates to answer carefully in this section to score well.
Here are few tips for LR and AR section of SNAP 2014:
1. Draw diagrams
Try to draw diagrams wherever possible while answering in AR and LR section. Questions based on clocks, directions, Venn diagrams, etc. are solved correctly when drawn. This again helps you to quickly answer the question and find a correct answer.
2. Maintain speed
An aspirant in SNAP 2104 will be expected to answer 150 questions in 120 minutes. It’s all about speed. Experts say that time can be saved in LR and AR section. Candidates must speed up in the section. with a proper exam strategy, candidates can correctly answer all the questions within the desired time frame.
3. Check upon accuracy
Do not forget that SNAP has negative marking. A one fourth of the allotted marks of the question is deducted for every wrong answer. Therefore, while rushing to answer all the questions, you have maintain accuracy as well. You cannot compromise either of them to score well in the exam. Therefore, stay attentive and score well in SNAP 2014.
4. Solve attentively
AR and LR section of SNAP demands you to be focused while attempting it. You can choose to begin the exam with this section. Though, the section seems to be easy to many, chances of negative marks are also high in this section. This is because, the choice of answers are very confusing. Thus, solve this section with fresh mind.
5. Read the questions again
Do not rush to answer questions in AR and LR section of SNAP. You must read the question twice or thrice so that you are clear about the solution. Many a times, answers are hidden within the question.
6. Don’t assume things
Stick to whatever the question says. Stay confined to what the questions is demanding. Answer it logically. Do not assume things while answering in AR and LR section. There is no scope for assumptions in this sections. You just need to do what is asked in the question.
7. Read the choices before choosing one
While solving the questions, it is recommended to apply all the choices available and then choose the right solution. This sometimes helps in finding answer easily and quickly. Also, chances of a wrong answer reduces with this format. This format can help best in the questions based on numbers and series.
