The CAT toppers' story, 9 score a 100 percentile
The most talked about management exam remains in news right from the time of paper format till the results are revealed. The results of Common Admission Test were declared on January 11 and has brought out many topper stories.
The test attracted over 1.85 lakh across 36 cities. Reprts say that nine candidates scored 100 percentile.
Rajesh Balasubramanian from Chennai who achieved a 100 percentile has been a student of IIT-Madras. According to Rajesh this is "an annual ritual and helps him develop better MBA teaching content." This CAT was his fifth experience. (Read complete report on Hindu...)
Ajinkya Deshmukh from Mumbai, another topper with 100 percentile, is an employee of a business analytics firm. Her motivation since the last three years was to get into one of the top three IIMs
Kumar Dipanshu from Lucknow, who scored a 99.8 percentile is an engineering graduate and is working with an IT company for the last one-and-a-half years. His wish to be a part of the management cadre drove him to pursue his CAT dream and is interested in Finance sector. (Read complete report here )
Vipul Tyagi of Gujarat brings out a completely different angle to appear for CAT. Despite the mad scramble to get into IIMs, this student from Gujarat does not intend to study in any of these coveted institutes. His aim to appear in CAT this year was to prove to students that it does not take a topper to clear CAT.
