ICSI CS June 2020 Exam fees to be carried forward to June 2021 session

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has issued an important announcement regarding carrying forward of ICSI CS exam fees of the June 2020 examination to June 2021 session. The official notice reads, “As the students are already aware that June 2020 examination had been merged with December 2020 exam which is scheduled to be held from December 21. In view of the present COVID-19 crisis, some of the students enrolled for June 2020 session (merged with December 2020 exam session) and students enrolled afresh for December 2020 exam session may wish to appear in June 2021 session of examination instead of the December 2020 examination session.” Request for carrying forward of fees will be allowed through google form given on the official website. The window for availing of this facility is available from November 2 to 6, 2020.
“The institute has decided to allow such candidates to opt June 2021 session instead of December 2020 exam session. ICSI CS application form fees already paid by students for the module which they have enrolled for June 2020 session (merged with December 2020 session)/December 2020 session will be carried forward to June 2021 session,” the notice further reads.
The notice reads further, “Students desirous of enrolling for the additional number of modules in ICSI CS June 2021 exam session, shall be required to enroll for the respective modules and remit the additional exam fee for such module through online mode separately when in enrolment process for June 2021 exam session shall commence in future.”
ICSI June 2020 exam has been merged with the December 2020 examination and is scheduled to be held on December 21, 2020. In view of Covid19 crisis, students enrolled for the June 2020 examinations and the ones who have enrolled fresh for ICSI CS December 2020 examination may wish to postpone their examinations for the June 2021 session.
The exam for three electives: Forensic Audit, Direct Tax Laws and Practice, Valuation and Business Modelling will be conducted in June 2021 sessions. Students who have already switched to the new syllabus are not allowed to switch back to the old syllabus. Refund/ Adjustment/ Partial Carry forward of examination fee is not allowed.
