Regular teachers/ faculties working in AICTE approved Degree levels and Polytechnic institutions can apply for AICTE Visvesvaraya Best Teachers Award.

AICTE Visvesvaraya Best Teachers Award: The last date for application submission of 'AICTE-Dr Pritam Singh Foundation Award (for management faculty)’ has been extended until August 20, 2021. The Council introduced this scheme to identify the extraordinary teachers and recognize the excellence / best practices/innovativeness of such teachers in the field of technical education at the national level for Degree and Diploma institutions. The official notice released by the Council regarding the Visvesvaraya Best Teachers Award reads, “This scheme is aimed to recognize the meritorious faculties on Teachers Day i.e., September 5, 2021, every year at National level and encourage them to update themselves to the ever-changing needs of higher education at global level and thereby becoming an effective contributor towards the society.”

AICTE Visvesvaraya Best Teachers Award: Eligibility Criteria

Regular teachers/ faculties working in AICTE approved Degree levels and Polytechnic institutions can apply for AICTE Visvesvaraya Best Teachers Award.

Applicant’s upper age limit (as on the last date for application) for faculties to be nominated for award is as follows-

(a) Assistant Prof and lecturers - not beyond 40 years of age

(b) Associate Prof /HOD Polytechnic- not beyond 50 years of age

(c) Professor/Principal Polytechnic - not beyond 60 years of age

Applicants must note that a maximum of one nomination per institute per year would be considered by the council. Previous award winners are not eligible for the current year. “An Award (cash prize) of Rs. 25,000/- (per teacher) along with a medal and certificate of excellence to be given to 20 teachers,” the notice reads.
