Andhra Pradesh government decided that despite the resumption of physical classes, online classes will also continue. The schools have been directed to follow strict COVID-19 norms amid the reopening process. 

Amid the declining cases of the novel coronavirus, the Andhra Pradesh government has decided to reopen schools for Intermediate students from August 16. The state government has decided to resume school for AP 12th or intermediate students from August 16. The government took the decision to re-open schools after a meeting with AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on July 23, 2021. However, the authority decided that despite the resumption of physical classes, online classes will also continue. The schools have been directed to follow strict COVID-19 norms amid the reopening process. Candidates should however note that online classes will not be stopped. With the resumption of physical classes, online classes will also continue with physical classes. Further, candidates would also be required to follow strict SOPs to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Educational institutions also need to adhere to guidelines such as maintaining social distance, sanitizing classrooms regularly for the safety and well-being of the students. Andhra Pradesh intermediate classes for class 12 students have already started I'm online mode since July 21, 2021.

Students resuming physical classes must follow guidelines such as maintaining social distancing, wearing masks, using hand sanitizer, and others. The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Andhra Pradesh is 1,9549. Further, the government is also confident about reopening schools with increased vaccination in the state.

A recent Parliament Panel headed by MP Vinay P Sahasrabuddhe studied the impact of school closure on children. The panel highlighted how with schools being closed, children are being more exposed to work. Further, it was added that the closure of schools has a very hazardous effect which is too serious to ignore. The panel further recommended the reopening of schools with proper measures. Alternative days, different shifts for students, maintaining social distancing have been recommended by the panel amid the school reopening.
