Indian Institute of Management, Jammu (IIMJ) has released IPM admission policy 2026. Candidates aspiring for IPM admissions at IIM Jammu for the 2026-31 batch will have to appear for JIPMAT exam. JIPMAT 2026 scores will have a weightage of 70 per cent. IIM Jammu has equally divided the remaining 30 per cent of weightage to Class 10 and Class 12 performance. This year, there is no weightage for gender diversity at IIM Jammu.

IIM Jammu has retained the two year drop criteria for IPM admissions 2026. Candidates who passed class 12 in 2024 or later are eligible for IPM admissions 2026 at IIM Jammu. Compared to IIM Bodh Gaya, the drop allowed by the candidates is one year.

IIM Bodh Gaya is yet to release IPM admission policy 2026-31.

With the release of IPM admission policy, IIM Jammu has yet again expressed interest of collaborating for a joint entrance with other IIMs offering IPM courses. This indicates a future possibility of a common entrance test for IPMAT admissions across all IIMs.

Q:   Is IIM Jammu hard to get admission?
A:

Yes, its hard to get admission at IIM Jammu. Admission to MBA programme is based on CAT scores. After the release of CAT results, the institute shortlists the candidate based on CAT scores, work experience, academic performance, and other factors. Admission to various courses is based on merit, written tests, personal interviews, and entrance exam scores. 

Q:   What are the JIPMAT exam cities located in UP?
A:
The JIPMAT exam is conducted across various cities in India. Uttar Pradesh has several exam cities where JIPMAT exam centres are located. As per the JIPMAT 2023 exam cities in the information brochure, JIPMAT exam in UP will be conducted in the following cities: - Agra - Ghaziabad - Kanpur - Lucknow - Prayagraj - Varanasi - Noida Candidates can select their preferred exam city while filling out the JIPMAT application form. NTA allots the city based on the availability of the seats. Candidates can also choose four test city preferences from a single state.
Q:   Will there be a weightage for work experience in JIPMAT selection process?
A:
No. There is no weightage for work experience in the JIPMAT selection process. IPM admissions in IM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya includes a weightage to JIPMAT scores and gender. In the previous sessions, JIPMAT participating Iims have provided a weightage to Class 10 scores, and Class 12 scores as well. However, with the change in the admission policy, Iims have shifted to providing more weightage to the JIPMAT exam scores. IIM Jammu is providing 95 per cent weightage to the JIPMAT scores. While, IIM Bodh Gaya is expected to provide 100 per cent weightage to the JIPMAT scores.
