Symbiosis International University briefly updated the SET 2026 schedule, but has now reverted the changes. The official website has rolled back the changes and restored the website to 2025 session dates. The dates and SET exam 2026 schedule were updated across the website and appeared on the homepage, dates section, and elsewhere. This has left the SET exam candidates confused. The authorities released the exam dates, application dates and other dates for the SET exam events. The authorities released the complete timeline of the SET exam 2026. 

Earlier, SET 2026 exam dates were released as May 2, 2026, and May 10, 2026. SIU has not released any official notice regarding the rollback. So, students preparing for the 2026 session are advised to rely on the latest information available on the website only.  \

Q:   Can I carry a watch, eatables and water to the SET exam centre? Which documents should I carry to exam centre?
A:
Eatable and drinks are not allowed inside the SET exam centre. But, candidates must carry their personal transparent water bottle to the exam centre and follow the COVID-19 appropriate behaviour at all times. Electronic gadgets including watches, mobile phones, calculators, smart devices, etc. Are prohibited inside the SET exam centre. Candidates should carry recent passport size photograph, photo ID (original and photocopy) and SET admit card along with them to the exam centre.
Q:   Can Symbiosis SET be given remotely?
A:

No, the SET exam cannot be given remotely. Every year the SET exam is conducted in the computer-based test mode. In 2021, the exam was however conducted in the internet-based test mode because of the coronavirus pandemic. Ever since, the SET exam has always been conducted in the computer-based test mode (CBT). To take the exam, candidates have to visit the SET exam centre and take the exam online. They can choose upto three preferred SET test cities during the SET exam registration. Candidates must reach the test centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam in order to avoid any hassle on the exam and complete the frisking formalities at the exam GATE smoothly. 

Q:   Will I be allowed entry to the SET exam centre if I reach later than the reporting time?
A:

The SET exam will be conducted from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Candidates should ideally reach the exam centre at least an hour before the exam starts. Hence, candidates must reach the exam centre on the time mentioned on the admit card in order to avoid any hassle. The gates will close at 11:00 AM for the SET exam. Candidates will not be allowed to enter after this. To complete the frisking formalities at the GATE and be seated by 11:20 AM, candidates should reach the centre on time. They can also leave the SET exam centre only once the exam is over.
