The Andhra Pradesh Board of Secondary Education will conduct the class 10th examination in the state within the two weeks after the nationwide lockdown is lifted.
Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Adimulap Suresh has said that BSEAP will hold class 10th examination in the state within two weeks after the national coronavirus lockdown is lifted.
The Board of Secondary Education Andra Pradesh (BSEAP), is all set to hold AP SSC Exam 2020 within two weeks of the national lockdown is being lifted, the minister informed the Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal during a video conference. The meeting was conducted by HRD minister and was attended by state education ministers of various states along with state education secretaries. The meeting was conducted to evaluate the overall impact of coronavirus on the education sector and to know how state is preparing itself to deal with its aftermath.
Earlier, several students and parents had raised concerns about rumours about the state government planning to promote class 10 students without holding the SSC exams in the backdrop of coronavirus outbreak. However, putting all these rumours aside, he said that AP SSC Exam 2020 will be held as per the above plan.
He further added that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has also directed the Education Department and BSEAP to make preparations in accordance with it. He also added that while conducting exams, the board will lay special emphasis on social distancing to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the students.
AP Education Minister also confirmed that working on the HRD Ministry's guidelines, the state government has decided to continue the mid-day meal scheme even during the Summer Vacations.
