The Assam HSLC Board Exams 2021 usually begins in February.

Assam HSLC Board Exams 2021: Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) is all set to conduct Class 10 state board exams, i.e. SEBA HSLC exams in March 2021. According to the official information Board of Secondary Education, Assam (Seba), chairman, RC Jain informed about the conduct of the Assam HSLC Board Exams 2021. With Seba already having curtailed syllabus for Class 9 and 10 students by 30%, Mr Jain stated that the Board has no plans of further postponing the exam. The Assam HSLC Board Exams 2021 usually begins in February. Following the footsteps of CBSE, which is going ahead with online filling up of the forms, Seba also officially notified that this time the students are required to fill the forms for High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Assam High Madrassa (AHM) examinations via online mode from November 2 to 23.

The chairman stated,"The upcoming Class 10 state board exams in Assam will be held on time. Like the CBSE, we have also decided to accept the forms digitally." He added that the COVID-19 situation is being carefully monitored by the board to apply suitable methodologies to conduct the exams. Over 3.5 lakh students appeared in the Class 10 state board exams this year.
Usually, the Board ends the regular classes for Class 10 board examinees by November as the students go in for self-study after that. However, considering the academic losses due to the outbreak of the pandemic, offline classes will continue until February this year, Mr Jain added.
Though some of the guardians are still skeptical about sending their children to schools, teachers have urged the education board to conduct the exams on time.
"We want the board exams on time, without much delay. Since much of the course has been reduced, we want the board exams to happen on time," Gobinda Kalita, general secretary of the Assam Madhyamik Shikshak Aru Karmachari Santha, said.
