The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) rescheduled the Class 10 Modern Indian Language exam on April 1. Two teachers have been identified as the masterminds of the Class 10 question paper leak. Read on for detailed news.
The Assam HSLC Class 10 Modern Indian Language exam has been rescheduled by the board. Today, the Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has announced that the SEBA class 10 which was earlier postponed will now be held on April 1. The announcement has been made through the official Twitter handle.
“This is to notify all concerned that in view of the ongoing Police investigation regarding the leakage of the Question paper of the HSLC Examination 2023, and in order to avoid holding of examination of MIL subjects in a comprised situation, the Board of Secondary Education, Assam has decided to reschedule the Examination of MIL / English (IL) subjects earlier scheduled to be held on 18th March 2023,” said the Education Minister Ranoj Pegu.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested the people who have accepted their involvement in the paper leak case. Thereafter, the board postponed the Assam HSLC Class 10 Modern Indian Language which was earlier scheduled on March 18.

Assam Director General of Police G P Singh said that the police have been identified as the masterminds of the SEBA Class 10 question paper leak. One of them has been detained while the second suspect is still absconding, Singh said.
In addition to this, the state’s chief minister has earlier informed students that the Assamese exam will also be rescheduled soon. “It has been brought to my notice that the arrested accused centre in charge of Luhit Khabalu HS School has, during interrogation, confessed to leaking Assamese paper as well. In view of this, I have advised SEBA to reschedule the Assamese exam also,” he tweeted.
Earlier, the board had rescheduled the Modern Indian Language paper as it was also canceled due to the paper leak across the state.
