CBSE issued a statement stating that the decision regarding CBSE Board examinations will only be taken after consultation with all the stakeholders and will be communicated at an appropriate time at the official website.

Refuting media reports that claim that Central Board of secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the board examinations for Classes 10th, 12th in March, the Board clarified that it will not conduct the exams anytime around that month. The Board will release the CBSE date sheet 2021 after consultation with all the stakeholders. This comes after students raised queries regarding same while interacting live with the Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on December 10.

CBSE, on Thursday, issued a clarification and said that any decision on CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exam dates will be communicated at the appropriate time through the official website.

Earlier, the Board had released the tentative schedule and SOP for conducting practical examinations in schools. This created panic among students and parents making them believe that the final theory exams would be conducted in March. It also mentioned that the exams will be held in offline or written mode.

CBSE said that the board is well aware of the condition of the students and parents in the time of the pandemic and therefore, whatsoever decision would be taken will only be taken after assessing the situation and consultation with all the stakeholders and will be communicated at an appropriate time at the official website.

Prior to this, the PIB took to Twitter rejecting the claims made by the media platforms on the CBSE exam dates.

While addressing students online, the Minister also cleared that adequate time would be given to students who are preparing for the CBSE board exams. He said that there is no compulsion to conduct examinations in March. Keeping in view the coronavirus pandemic, the scheduled dates for the exam will be fixed and it'll be ensured that no board exam date clashes with the dates of any entrance exam.
