CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2026: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has cancelled Class 12 board examinations 2026 in several Middle East countries due to ongoing war tensions in West Asia. board exam cancellation decision affects thousands of students studying in CBSE-affiliated schools across Gulf countries.

According to board’s notification, all CBSE Class 12 exams 2026 scheduled between March 16 and April 10, 2026, for students in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates have been cancelled. board mentioned that decision was taken for student safety. Earlier, CBSE had also cancelled remaining Class 10 board examinations in affected countries, indicating it was a necessary step.

CBSE Board Exam 2026 Cancelled: Embassy Directed Schools Amid Tensions

Following announcement, Embassy of India in Riyadh conducted a virtual interaction with principals of CBSE-affiliated schools and explained current situation. During meeting, embassy officials told school authorities regarding regional situation and steps to be taken to support Indian community in affected region.

Officials also responded to queries from schools about examination arrangements, student safety, and CBSE result 2026 evaluation for Middle East students. embassy focused on close coordination between schools, CBSE, and Indian diplomatic missions. This has been done to ensure minimal problems to students’ academic journey.

CBSE Board 2026 Cancelled in Middle East: Result Evaluation Process Soon

CBSE has confirmed that a separate notification regarding CBSE 2026 result declaration process and evaluation method for affected students will be issued soon. Reportedly, board may adopt an alternative assessment formula based on internal school evaluations, pre-board marks and practicals. Around 20,000 students across more than 150 CBSE-affiliated schools in Middle East are likely to be impacted by cancellation of 2026 board examinations.
