HP Schools To Follow CBSE Curriculum: The Himachal Pradesh government has announced that 100 government senior secondary schools will be affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) from next academic session. As per media reports, the schools will start following CBSE curriculum in phases, with the first phase covering 100 schools. Each Assembly constituency in the state will have at least one CBSE-affiliated government school.

The officials stated that the CBSE curriculum is recognised nationally, specifically in the context of national-level competitive exams. The move is expected to strengthen the academic competitiveness of Himachali students and provide them with better opportunities for higher education.

These CBSE-affiliated government schools in Himchal Pradesh will operate as day-boarding that focuses on the all-round development of students. Along with academics, the CBSE curriculum will also focus on sports, vocational skills, arts, counselling, career guidance, mentoring, and coaching.
