The CBSE Board examinations will be held in two terms, the first term in November-December and the second term exam in March-April.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the Class 10, 12 board exams term 1 date-sheet today. The examinations will be held in the month of November- December in offline mode. However, a section of students are not happy with the decision of the board to hold the examination in offline mode.

The students are claiming that as stated by some of the experts the third wave of COVID-19 is most likely to hit India by the end of October and holding the exam in offline mode during this time will be very risky. β€œStudents are not vaccinated yet,” claim students demanding exams to be held in online mode.

This year, the CBSE Board examinations will be held in two terms, the first term in November-December and the second term exam in March-April. The Class 10, 12 exams will be held offline and the first term will be objective in nature, the nature of the second term exam, whether subjective or objective, will depend upon the condition of COVID-19 in the country.

The students demanding exams to be held online ate claiming that some parts of the country where schools opened had to be shut down because of the spread of coronavirus and some of the regions of the country are still in the red zone. So calling students for offline examinations will be playing with their health. β€œWhen the entire academic activity was held online this year, why can't examinations be held online, students should get the option,” demand Class 12 students in a letter.

Students were supposed to come to the school only when the parents gave their consent, then why not do the same for exams. They are also claiming that when other boards like ICSE is giving the option of online or offline exam to students, why CBSE cannot do the same.

The CBSE will hold exams for major subjects as per the datasheet, while for minor subjects the board will make a group of schools offering those subjects and may hold more than one paper in the schools in a single day.

As per the CBSE, the final result of class 10, 12 board exams will be declared after the second term exams are held. No student will be placed in the pass, compartment and essential repeat category after the term 1 exam.

The students are demanding CBSE to give them the option of choosing between online and offline modes of examination.
