The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is back with its third edition of 'Ganga Quest'. The CBSE Ganga Quest Quiz 2021 registration is all set to begin from 4 pm today; i.e. March 22, 2021. Looking at the success of the first two versions of Ganga Quest, Ganga Quest 3.0 is being launched again in 2021. Interested candidates can register by going to the official website of gangaquest; i.e. gangaquest.com.
It was launched for the first time in 2019 under the aegis of Namami Gange programme, a national flagship programme for the restoration of the river Ganga. In 2020, the response to Ganga Quest is unprecedented, with 1 million + participation came from across the country and 10 countries globally.
What is Ganga Quest 2021?
Ganga Quest is an online quiz on Ganga being conducted by the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), an authority under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India. TREE Craze Foundation, a not-for-profit organization working on Ganga, Rivers, and Environment, is the implementation partner for Ganga Quest. The unique feature of the quiz is a) conducted in both Hindi and English; b) an online quiz; and, c) being a pan-India quiz.
Apart from engaging the youth, creating awareness and knowledge, the Ganga Quest initiative aims at building a sensitized next generation that cares for our river ecosystem and adapts a sustainable lifestyle that commensurates with nature. Thus, the targeted objectives of Ganga Quest are; Knowledge Building, Awareness Creation, Attitude Orientation, Knowledge Gap
Assessment, and Baseline Determination.

Launch and Registration: World Water Day (March 22, 2021)
Quiz Starts: World Earth Day (April 7, 2021)
Quiz Ends: World Migratory Bird Day (May 8, 2021)
Announcement of Winners: Ganga Dussehra (June 20, 2021)
Ganga Quest 2021: Eligibility Criteria
Anyone over the age of 10 years can participate in the quiz. You can apply as an individual or via your school. There are 4 categories –
Grade I – Class 8 or below
Grade II – Class 9 and 10
Grade III – Class 11 and 12
Grade IV – Adults/ Senior Citizens
