CBSE LOC Updates

CBSE LOC 2027: Central Board of Secondary Education has opened List of Candidates (LOC) correction window 2026-27 for students appearing in Class 10 and 12 board examins. As per notification dated November 2, 2026, affiliated schools must verify information submitted for their students and correct any errors within deadline. CBSE LOC correction facility allows schools to rectify discrepancies in students' personal and academic details. Students and parents should contact their respective school authorities if they find any mistakes in the submitted information.

CBSE LOC 2027: What is Late Fee After Regular Deadline?

CBSE had provided schools with a separate late-submission facility for completing LOC process after regular submission deadline. Schools submitting candidate details during late-fee period were required to pay an additional fee of INR 2,000 per candidate, over and above applicable exam fee.

However, late-submission period should not be confused with CBSE LOC correction window. The late fee was applicable to delayed submission of candidate details, while correction window is meant for rectifying eligible errors in already-submitted information. So, schools should not assume that payment of late fee will automatically permit changes after correction window closes.

CBSE LOC 2027: What Happens After Correction Window Closes?

Once correction facility closes, schools will have to follow the board's instructions regarding submitted CBSE LOC data. They should ensure that all eligible corrections are completed before deadline. Students should contact their respective school authorities to verify their names, parents' names, date of birth, subject combinations and other examination-related information.

CBSE LOC 2027: What Details Can Schools Correct?

CBSE LOC correction facility is intended to address errors in candidate information submitted for board exams 2027. Schools should carefully verify these details

  • Student's name: Ensure that full name is entered correctly without abbreviations.

  • Parents' names: Verify spelling of father's, mother's or guardian's name.

  • Date of birth: Check that date matches the student's official records.

  • Subject choices: Confirm that subjects selected for board examinations are correct.

  • Surname and passport details: Ensure that surname is included and that details match passport, wherever applicable.

Students and parents should contact their respective schools to check details submitted in CBSE LOC form. Since correction facility is available to school authorities, students cannot independently edit their information through the CBSE portal.

Schools should complete the verification process within the permitted period and ensure that all candidate details are accurate. Any discrepancy should be reported immediately to the school administration.
