CBSE has invited online applications for the Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship 2025. Eligible Class 10 pass-outs of 2025 can apply, while 2024 awardees can renew. Last date is October 23, 2025.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited online applications for the Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship for the year 2025. The scholarship is meant to support meritorious girl students who are the only child of their parents.

The scheme has two parts. Fresh applications are open for students who passed Class 10 from CBSE in 2025 and are now studying in Class 11 in schools affiliated with the board. Renewal applications are also invited for students who were granted the scholarship in 2024 and wish to continue it this year.

According to CBSE, the scholarship guidelines, eligibility conditions and the online application form are available on the board’s official website www.cbse.gov.in under the Scholarship Link. The last date to submit the form is October 23, 2025.

The scheme has been running for several years, under which financial help is given to single girl children to continue their education after Class 10. Students who apply must have passed the CBSE Class 10 examination with good academic performance and should be the only girl child in the family.

For renewal cases, students must have been promoted to the next class and should continue their studies in CBSE-affiliated schools. Applications have to be submitted online only. CBSE has also asked schools to verify the details of applicants carefully before forwarding them to the board.

The Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship is also linked to the government’s Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign, which aims to encourage families to educate their daughters. Over the years, many students across the country have benefited from this scheme.
