Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik has ordered the cancellation of Class12 exams saying that the life of students is more important than exams.
The CHSE Odisha Class 12 examinations have been cancelled for the current year. This comes after CBSE cancelled the Class 12 examinations on June 1, following which many state boards have also decided to cancel their Class 12 examination sin view of COVID-19. While announcing the cancellation of Odisha Plus two exams 2021, CM Naveen Patnaik said that the life of students is more precious than the examinations. "Life is ahead, everything is behind," he said. As long as life is safe, there will be eternal possibilities and society and civilization will move forward. So the future of our country and our nation is much more important than the health and safety of our children, he added.
The Chief Minister has directed that the Council of Higher Secondary Education to release the Odisha 12th Result 2021 within the stipulated time according to well-defined Objective Criteria. Reports hint that the state board will now formally begin the process of Odisha 12th Result preparation with the appointment of an expert committee soon. "If any students are not satisfied with the assessment, they can take the test if they want and the situation will be decided by the Higher Secondary Education Council," he further said.
The Class 12 examinations were scheduled from May 18 to June 11, 2021.
