Delhi Board of School Education will have 20-25 schools affiliated to it in the upcoming academic session 2021-22.
Delhi government announced the setting up of Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE). Taking to Twitter, Directorate of Education (DoE) Delhi stated, βNow, Delhi has its own education board. Delhi Education Board got registered today.β The DoE congratulated students, teachers, and other stakeholders for setting up the new education board adding that this will bring the most awaited reforms in their assessment system.
Earlier, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had informed that in the upcoming academic session 2021-22, around 20-25 schools will be moved to the new education board. The Board will have a governing body, chaired by the education minister. It will also have an executive body headed by a CEO for the day-to-day functions.
Both bodies will have experts from the education sector, professional industries, principals of government and private schools, and bureaucrats.
In July last year, the Delhi government had constituted two committees to prepare the scheme and framework for the formation of the state education board and curriculum reforms.
Currently, there are about 1,700 private schools and 1,000 government schools in Delhi, all of which are affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). CBSE has recently revised the CBSE 10th, 12th date sheet 2021. The CBSE 10th exams 2021 are scheduled to be conducted between May 4 and June 7 while CBSE 12th exams 2021 will be held between May 4 and June 14. Students are advised to complete their syllabus and solve the sample papers to get familiar with the exam pattern, marking scheme, and types of questions asked in the exams.
