Delhi School Admission 2025: The Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) has issued a warning to parents and school authorities against engaging with individuals or organisations falsely claiming to guarantee school admissions.

In a circular released on recently, the DoE highlighted concerns over misleading claims by unauthorised agents, websites, and institutions that promise to secure admissions for students.

"It has been observed that some individuals, organisations, and institutions are misleading parents by claiming to influence or guarantee school admissions," the circular stated.

Parents have been urged not to engage with these fraudulent entities and to rely only on official admission procedures set by schools and education authorities.

School Authorities Instructed to Avoid Admission Agents

The circular also strictly prohibits school heads and management—both in private and government-aided institutions—from associating with any:

  • Admission consultants
  • Education agents
  • Websites offering guaranteed admissions

Schools have been warned that any official or unofficial collaboration with such entities will be considered a violation of education regulations.

Delhi Schools: No Donations or Admission Fees Allowed

The DoE reinforced that demanding or accepting donations, capitation fees, or consultancy fees for school admissions is strictly prohibited under Section 17 of the Delhi School Education Act and Rules (DSEA&R), 1973.

"The department is fully competent and committed to preventing the commercialisation of education in any form," the circular stated.

Strict action will be taken against individuals, schools, or organisations found violating this rule.

What Parents Should Do?

To ensure a fair and transparent admission process, parents are advised to:

  • Follow official school admission guidelines
  • Report any fraudulent admission offers to the Directorate of Education
  • Avoid dealing with unauthorised admission agents

The DoE's latest move aims to curb education-related fraud and ensure that the admission process remains transparent and fair for all students.
