GSEB Class 12 exams have been cancelled owing to COVID-19.

GSEB 12th exams 2021: The Gujarat Board has cancelled the GSEB Class 12 examinations 2021 a day after releasing the revised GSEB 12th Time Table 2021. The step comes after CBSE Class 12 examinations were cancelled on June 1 after a high-level meeting was chaired by PM Modi. The GSEB Class 12 Time Table 2021 was released on June 1 on the official website of the state board. The GSEB 12th exams 2021 were scheduled to be conducted between July 1 and July 16, for general and science streams.

As many 1.40 lakh students of science stream and 5.43 lakh of the general stream (arts and commerce) were registered to write the Class 12 board exams, Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama had earlier said.

Earlier, on May 13, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani had announced the cancellation of GSEB Class 10 exam 2021 and mass promotion for all the students. "An important decision was taken today in the wider interest of the students of Std-10 SSC of the state. Considering the current state of transition of corona, the decision to give adequate mass promotion to regular students in Std-10 SSC this year was taken in the core committee meeting held today," he tweeted. Moreover, students of classes 9 and 11 were also promoted to the next grade without examinations.
