HPBOSE 12th Result 2020 not to be announced today, know why

HPBOSE will not be announcing the result today, the Board has confirmed. Read below to know why.

The Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBOSE) has today clarified that it will not be announcing the HPBOSE Class 12th result today.

Earlier, some of the media houses claimed that the HPBOSE 12th result will be announced today, i.e. June 16, 2020. While talking to a media house, a board official said that “HPBOSE will release the Class 12^th result within the month-end. As of now, the final result date has not been decided."

Just like other Board exams, the Class 12 Board exams for HPBOSE were also severely impacted due to the coronavirus outbreak and the lockdown imposed to contain it. The Board had to also cancel the HPBOSE 12th Board Exam 2020 in the state.

In order to announce the result amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis, the Himachal Pradesh government decided to release the HPBOSE 12^th Results 2020 for 4 subjects instead of 5 key subjects. To overcome this challenge, the HPBOSE came up with an alternative formula for marking scheme that will help the Board arrive at the marks for 5^th Subject for HPBOSE Class 12 Results. 

As per the reports, this year the Board is planning to consider theory marks for the fifth elective subjects in proportion to the highest marks received in the previous four exams. Similarly, the practical and internal marks for the fifth subject will be awarded on the basis of the marks awarded by the school.

HP Board Class 12 Results 2020 online: Steps to check

The HP Board will be declaring the HPBOSE Results for Class 12 this year online only. Students who appeared for the HPBOSE 12^th Board Exams 2020 can check their 12th board results online following the steps given below:

• Step 1: Visit the official website i.e. hpbose.org 
• Step 2: Find and click on the link for HP Board 12^thResult 2020
• Step 3: Enter exam roll number and other required details as mentioned on HPBOSE 12^th Admit Card 2020
• Step 4: Verify the details and click on Submit
• Step 5: HPBOSE 12^thResult scorecard will be displayed on the screen
• Step 6: Download the scorecard for future reference in PDF format

Once the schools in the state reopen, students are advised to collect HPBOSE 12th Results 2020 original mark sheets from the for future references.
