ICSE Board 2026 Class 10 Exam Begins; Check Shift Timing, Exam Day Guidelines
ICSE Board exam 2026 on February 17, 2026. The exams will start at 11:00 am and will conclude at 1:00 PM on each day. Candidates are expected to be seated by 10:30 am. Know complete details here!
The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has begun conducting the ICSE Board exam 2026 on February 17, 2026. The exam will conclude for all the subjects on March 30, 2026. The duration for every paper varies and ranges from 2 hours to 3 hours. Students will have to write the paper for a maximum of 80 marks. Unlike CBSE, in the ICSE board, 20 marks are allotted for the internal assessment. Approximately 2.6 lakh candidates will appear for the exam this year. Students with at least 75% attendance are allowed to appear for the ICSE boards.
The exams will start at 11:00 am and will conclude at 1:00 PM on each day. As per the directives of the conducting body, candidates are expected to be seated in the examination hall around 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam. ICSE Board Class 10 Exam 2026: Exam Day Guidelines to follow
Students appearing in the ICSE board Class 10 exam must take note of the following points a day before their exam day:
- Carry a physical copy of the ICSE Admit Card signed by the school principal, as no digital copy of the hall ticket will be accepted
- Students are advised to present themselves in the proper school uniform
- Students will first get 15 minutes to read the question paper, and utilize this time to formulate a paper writing strategy
- Candidates must carry stationery pouches, blue/royal blue ballpoint pens, and transparent water bottles.
- Avoid wearing smartwatches as they will go under scrutiny, and you might be asked to remove them for security concerns.
- Do not carry your mobile phones and calculators as they are strictly prohibited.
ICSE Board 2026: Guidelines to Attempt the Exam
Here are some guidelines to follow while attempting the exam:
- Mention your Unique ID and subject on top of the main answer booklet.
- Write only with a blue or black pen
- It is mandatory to put the candidate's signature in the space provided on the answer booklet
- Write on both sides of the answer sheet, and do not leave any page blank in between
- Leave a line after answering each question and try to write in legible handwriting. Do not scribble on the answer sheet. Do all the working on the rough sheet
