CBSE Issues Stern Warning against Fake Paper Leakage

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), in its recent notification, has issued a stern warning highlighting that it will not welcome fake news or counterfeit claims against the circulation of question papers. The Class 12th and Class 10th boards will start from February 17, 2026. It is expected that from dubious sources, news about the question paper leakage might surface on social media.

Why Such Official Warning is Issued?

In the past few years, there have been instances wherein misinformation regarding the circulation of the question paper leakage has been circulated. Rumors were shared on the internet to demotivate students appearing for Class 10 and Class 12 CBSE board exams.

Action Taken By CBSE

In this direction, CBSE has made it clear that rumors might interfere with the emotions of the people, but do not get stressed with such fake news. At the time of the examination, focus must be only on appearing for the exam and giving your best. CBSE has cautioned people to refrain from sharing fake news without authenticated or verified sources. This will only lead to anxiety and last-minute hassles in the minds of the otherwise calm and composed candidates.

A Directive to Follow

CBSE has requested people in general, parents, schools, and teachers to act responsibly against such rumors. Avoid accessing information from unverified sources and connect with the board in case of any apprehension. The official website for confirming such information is: www.cbse.gov.in. Unless there is a press release confirming such evidence, do not believe in news spread by other malign sources.

Consequences of Spreading Fake News

In case such news is spread baselessly and if it disrupts the then it will be taken into consideration quite sternly, and a stricter action will ensue as per the rules and regulations set by CBSE in this direction. The board has released a statement ensuring a robust arrangement that guarantees a smooth and secure mode of conducting the exam that upholds the integrity of the examination. Candidates must show trust in the mechanisms implemented by CBSE to hold the examination with uprightness.
