ICSE, ISC Board Exams 2026: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has cancelled ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12 all streams) board exams in United Arab Emirates (UAE). The decision was taken due to security concerns and ongoing tensions in Middle East region. Thousands of Indian students studying in UAE schools under CISCE board should note that their ICSE and ISC Board exams have now been cancelled.
According to media reports, CISCE took this step after carefully reviewing the security situation. The decision was also made after consultations with concerned authorities and diplomatic representatives to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Discussion With UAE Authorities Regarding ICSE, ISC Board Exams 2026
As per media reports, a circular was sent to schools in which CISCE stated that the decision was taken after discussions with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai and the Consulate General of India in Dubai.
Earlier, ICSE & ISC board exams were only postponed from March 2 to April 6 for all centres in UAE. However, after assessing the situation again, the council decided to cancel ICSE and ISC exams completely.
Alternative Evaluation Method Expected for of ICSE & ISC Board Result 2026
Since ICSE, ISC board exams have been cancelled instead of postponed, CISCE is expected to adopt an alternative evaluation method for students. Although the council has not yet officially announced the assessment process, experts believe CISCE may follow a method similar to the one used during COVID-19 pandemic. This may include:
- Internal school assessments
- Pre-board examination marks
- Academic performance during the year
