The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has announced that it will be starting the evaluation process for the Class 10 and Class 12 answer sheets from May 28.

The evaluation for the JAC class 10 and JAC class 12 answer sheets will be conducted in 67 centres in the district headquarters across Jharkhand. As per the report, the JAC portal will showcase a live evaluation process. This will be done to ensure that precautionary measures are followed at various centres.

The evaluation centres will be guided by standard protocols. Teachers for the evaluation process have to wear masks, use sanitizers at regular intervals, and maintain social distancing, as per the directives issued by the state government, said the media report.

Once the evaluation process is complete, the board is expected to announce the JAC 10th results 2020 and JAC 12th Results 2020 by June-end.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country, schools around the country were closed in mid-March. The Class 10 and Class 12 examinations, evaluation of answer sheets, and results declaration were also disrupted after the nation-wide lockdown was imposed around the country on March 25 and extended multiple times to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.

The lockdown is currently in its fourth phase until May 31, however, this time the government has provided certain relaxations. The Council has decided to start the process of evaluation of Class 10 and Class 12 answer sheets after they received a go-ahead from Jharkhand's state education department.

The total number of coronavirus cases in India has now risen to 1,28,536, including 76,820 active cases and 57,692 discharged.
