The Jharkhand Academic Council conducted the Class 8 examination in January 2020.

JAC 8th Board Exams 2020: According to the latest updates, the Jharkhand Academic Council will not be able to conduct special examinations for the failed students. The reports suggest that the Board will allot grace marks to 20 percent of the students who failed the examinations. The Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren gave the approval for the proposal of the Department of School Education and Literacy for providing 20 percent grace marks to the unsuccessful candidates in Class 8.

The Jharkhand Academic Council conducted the Class 8 examination in January 2020. The official data suggest that approximately 5,03,862 candidates appeared for the examinations out of which 4,61,538 candidates passed while 42,324 candidates failed. However, the board was supposed to conduct a special examination for these students but decided against it due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation. As a one-time measure, the government decided not to conduct the special examinations but instead qualify the students by providing grace marks. The JAC Class 8 exams 2020 were conducted for a total of 250 marks and students who secured just 33 marks will also be considered qualified according to the board.

JAC Class 9 Registration

With the revised Class 8 Jharkhand board results, the Jharkhand Academic Council will conduct the admissions and the online registration for Class 9. The registration process for the students of Class 9 is underway and is now extended until November 23, 2020. It must be noted that only those candidates who complete the registrations in class would be eligible to appear for the JAC 10th Board Exams 2022.
