Provisional admissions might get cancelled if students do not get the desired marks in Class 10.
Schools in Jharkhand have begun provisional admissions to Class 11 on the condition that the students' admissions might get cancelled if they do not get the desired marks in Class 10 Result that will be declared later. The schools will also refund the admission fee. Schools have also made provisions for direct admission of students who score high marks in the board exams.
Recently, the Delhi Public School has reopened its portal for online registration of students. The school is admitting students on the basis of their score in Class 9 final examinations and pre-board test that was conducted offline. The provisional lists are being decided after the interview conducted online. The management of the school has said the admission process will continue until June 9, 2021. An official from the Sarla Birla Public School said that after repeated requests from parents, they have extended the deadline for online registration until the end of this month. "Our school has adopted a flexible approach in view of the prevailing conditions due to COVID-19 as people are facing several constraints," she said. She said provisional admissions are on the basis of Class 9 and pre-board examination result.
Jawahar Vidya Mandir has said through an official notification on its website that the provisional admissions will be based on an online admission test.
Meanwhile, the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has postponed the upcoming JAC Class 10, 12 exams in view of the rising cases of COVID. The council will review the situation on June 1 and take further decisions regarding the conduct of these actions, the state board said. The JAC Class 10 as well as JAC Class 12 examinations were scheduled to held from May 4 and continue until May 21.
