JNVST Admission 2024: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) is currently accepting online applications for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2024. This test is for admission to Class 6 at over 650 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) across India. Interested candidates can submit their applications on the official NVS website, [navodaya.gov.in](https://navodaya.gov.in). It must be noted that the last date to submit the JNVST Admission 2024 Application is September 16.
Essential Application Requirements
Candidates must upload several documents while filling out the application form, including:
- A recent photograph
- Signature of both the parent and the candidate
- Aadhar details or residence certificate
- A certificate verified by the headmaster of the school attended by the candidate, in the prescribed format. This certificate should be uploaded in jpg format and should be between 10-100 KB in size.
JNVST Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the JNVST 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- The applicant must be currently studying in Class 5.
- The candidate should be born between May 1, 2013, and July 31, 2015 (both dates inclusive).
- Applications can only be made for JNVs located within the same district as the candidate's current school.
Exam Phases and Dates
The JNVST 2024 will be conducted in two phases:
- Phase 1: January 18, 2025
- Phase 2: April 12, 2025
Geographic Distribution of the Exam Phases
- Phase 1 will include exams in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh (excluding specific districts), Jammu & Kashmir (Jammu-I, Jammu-II & Samba only), Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tripura, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal (excluding Darjeeling), and Union Territories including Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Delhi, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry.
- Phase 2 will be held in Jammu and Kashmir (excluding Jammu-I, Jammu-II & Samba), Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh (Dibang Valley and Tawang districts), Himachal Pradesh (specific districts), Darjeeling (West Bengal), and Leh & Kargil (UT Ladakh).
JNVST Test Details
The selection test will last two hours, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm on both examination days. The question paper will consist of three sections with objective-type questions totaling 80 questions worth 100 marks. Result Announcement
The results for the Phase 2 summer-bound JNVs are expected to be announced in March 2025, while results for the Phase 1 winter-bound JNVs are anticipated in May 2025.
