JNVST Class 6 Admission 2025: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has officially launched the JNVST Class 6 Admission 2026 process on June 1. Interested students can now apply online through the official portal, i.e. cbseitms.rcil.gov.in. The last date to submit the Navodaya Class 6 Admission Form 2026 is July 29, 2025. This admission process is for students seeking entry into Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) for the academic year 2026-27. Currently, 654 JNVs are operational across 27 states and 8 Union Territories.

JNVST Class 6 Exam to be Held in Two Phases

The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) Class 6 Exam 2026 will be conducted in two phases:

 Phase 1: December 13, 2025

 Phase 2: April 11, 2026

A total of 80 seats per JNV are available for Class 6 through this entrance test.

JNVST 2026 Admission: Eligibility Criteria for Class 6

To apply for the JNV Class 6 Entrance Exam 2026, students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

 Age Requirement: Born between May 1, 2014, and July 31, 2016 (inclusive).

Educational Qualification: Must be studying in Class 5 during the academic year 2025-26 in a recognized school.

District-Based Application: Students must apply from the district where their school is located.

Documents Required for JNV Class 6 Admission Form 2026

While filling out the JNVST 2026 application form, students must upload scanned copies of:

 Recent passport-size photograph

 Signature of the candidate

 Aadhaar card details

 Valid residence certificate

JNVST Class 6 Entrance Exam Pattern 2026

The NVS Class 6 Entrance Exam 2026 will be a 2-hour test worth 100 marks. It will comprise the following sections:

  •  Mental Ability Test
  •  Arithmetic Test
  •  Language Test

There will be no negative marking. Students with disabilities (Divyang candidates) will be given an additional 40 minutes to complete the exam.
