Karnataka SSLC, PUC to be merged under one board, bill passed by Assembly

Karnataka SSLC and PUC will now be combined under one board. The state assembly passed on the bill for this merger on September 22.

Kanataka SSLC, 2nd PUC: The Karnataka Assembly has passed a bill for the merger of SSLC and PUC Boards. Karnataka State Secondary Education Examination Board, KSEEB and Department of Pre University Education, DPUE will now be merged and combined into a single board. As per this bill, the board will be renamed to Karnataka School Examinations and Assessment Board.

As per the state education minister, BC Nagesh, the exams under this board will continue to be held separately, however, the primary conducting of the Karnataka SSLC Exams and the Karnataka PUC Exams will be one. β€œThere should be no unnecessary confusion,” the minister further added during the debate regarding the merger.

Under the new board, the post of director of Mass Education will be re-designated as Chairperson. The state assembly has proposed an expenditure of INR 2 lakhs per year.

Meanwhile, Karnataka 2nd PUC Supplementary Result 2022 was declared on September 12 at karresults.nic.in. The pass percentage was recorded at 37.08%. The Karnataka 2nd PUC supplementary exams 2022 were conducted from August 12 to August 25, 2022 in two sessions. The morning session was conducted from 10:15 am to 1:30 pm, while the afternoon session was conducted from 2:15 pm and 5:30 pm.
