Over 1000 scholarships for meritorious students from economically disadvantaged sections will be offered under the Kotak Junior Scholarship Programme to 10th students across the metropolitan region.
Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) - the CSR implementing agency of Kotak Mahindra Group, is going to sponsor meritorious students from economically disadvantaged sections for their Education. The Kotak Junior Scholarship programme will have 1,000 scholarships to support further education of Class 10th + meritorious students across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Moreover, a strong support system at ground level for the future youth will be offered along with financial aid of 73,500 for a duration of 21 months.
Duration of Junior Scholarship Programme
The programme has an initial term of 2 years for 10 + students from SSC, CBSE, and ICSE boards. It interests robust concentration exercises exceeding financial support including one-to-one mentoring, entrance exam preparation support, career guidance sessions, exposure visits, and home visits.
KEF’s scholarship has provided financial assistance to over 3600 scholars to date. More than 800 alumni are thriving white-collar specialists working in multi-national companies and other venerated institutions.
Benefits of Junior Scholarship Programme
Students will get the following benefits through the scholarship programme:
- Scholarship of INR 3,500 per month during Class 11 and Class 12 (INR 73,500 for 21 months)
- Academic aid to assist students excel in their studies
- Mentorship aid to guide students via their educational journey
- Career advice to facilitate notified decisions about forthcoming prospects
- Exposure visits to widen student's horizons and improve their learning experiences.
Eligibility Criteria of Junior Scholarship Programme
Eligibility criteria for the Kotak Junior Scholarship are as follows:
- Scored more than 85% in the SSC/CBSE/ICSE Examination and got admission for Class 11 in Colleges in Mumbai
- Family income less than INR 3,20,000/- per annum
- Within MMR (Mumbai Metropolitan Region)
