Manipur Class 10, 12 exams have been declared cancelled.

The Manipur Board has cancelled the Manipur HSLC as well as the Manipur Class 12 examinations 2021 due to COVID-19. The announcement was made separately by the Council of Higher Education Manipur (COHSEM), which conducts the Class 10 board examinations, and the Board of Secondary Education (BOSEM) that conducts the Class 12 exams.

"In view of the uncertain conditions due to COVID-19 pandemic and the feedback obtained from various stakeholders, it is hereby notified... that the High School Leaving Certificate Examination 2021 is cancelled," the BOSEM said in a statement. While in another statement, COHSEM said, "The higher secondary and class X1 exams, stand cancelled."

"The modus operandi of the award of marks, certificates of the students shall be done with due approval of the government," the state board added.

the state government has appointed a 14 member expert committee to decide on the alternative evaluation criteria for the Manipur 10th and 12th Results 2021.

The Manipur Class 12 examinations were scheduled to be conducted from May 5 and continue until June 9, while the Manipur HSLC exams were scheduled to be conducted between May 6 and May 28, 2021.

On June 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the cancellation of CBSE Class 12 exams due to cOVID-19 following which, other state boards including HPBOSE, Maharashtra, UP Board, RBSE, GSEB, among others cancelled their Class 12 examinations in view of the prevailing circumstances due to  COVID-19.
