Manipur Class 10 Paper Leak 2025: The Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) has filed a formal complaint with the cybercrime police station regarding the leak of the social science question paper during the ongoing Manipur Class 10 HSLC exams 2025. The incident has raised concerns among students, parents, and education officials, prompting immediate investigations.

Investigation Launched by BOSEM

BOSEM Secretary S. Jitelal confirmed that the board had initiated an official probe into the leak of the social science question paper. The leaked paper had allegedly been circulated on social media platforms, including two popular WhatsApp groups, before the exam was set to begin. Jitelal expressed the board's firm stance on the matter, stating that the perpetrators will be apprehended and held accountable for their actions.

"The leak of the question paper has caused significant distress and confusion among students and the public. We are doing everything in our power to ensure a fair examination process," Jitelal said. He emphasized that the examination on Tuesday would not be canceled, despite the leak, but assured that action would be taken against those responsible.

Details of Manipur Board 10th Paper Leak and Board’s Response

According to Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM), the leaked question paper was shared on WhatsApp groups around 8:30 am, just half an hour before the scheduled start of the exam at 9 am. DESAM Secretary General Nongthombam Thoithoiba condemned the incident, expressing concern over the impact it could have on the integrity of the exam. He called for strict action to be taken against the individuals behind the leak.

"The integrity of the exam has been compromised. This kind of incident can undermine the trust that students and parents place in the education system. We demand swift justice," Thoithoiba stated at a press briefing.

BOSEM's Efforts to Safeguard Exam Integrity

BOSEM officials have stated that the investigation is ongoing, with the cybercrime police station actively looking into the case. Jitelal assured the public that the board is working diligently to ensure that the examination continues smoothly without further disruption.

While no decision has been made yet to cancel the examination, BOSEM is committed to making sure the matter is resolved swiftly and that those responsible for leaking the question paper are brought to justice.

"We will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the security of the exams. All steps are being taken to prevent such incidents in the future," he added.

Affecting 37,052 Students Across 155 Centres

The Class 10 HSLC exams 2025 are being conducted for a total of 37,052 students, who are appearing for their exams at 155 centres across the state. This includes 93 centres in the valley districts and 62 in the hill districts.

Despite the leak, BOSEM has reassured students and parents that the examination process will continue as planned. The board is working to preserve the credibility of the exams and ensure the integrity of the examination system remains intact.

Students and Public Demand Justice

The leak of the question paper has sparked outrage among students and the general public, with many expressing concerns over the fairness of the examination. Students’ bodies and other educational groups have rallied behind the demand for justice and stronger measures to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.

Thothomba, a student and member of DESAM, said, "This leak has caused a huge setback for us. We worked hard to prepare, and now we are unsure if the exam will be fair for everyone. We demand accountability from the authorities."
