MP Board Exams 2021: Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, MPBSE clarified that the Board would not grant general promotion to students this year. According to the reports, School Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar dismissed all the possibilities of general promotion in the state and said that allowing general promotion would affect the level of education and also the future of children. Education Minister while speaking to the joint delegation of Association of Un-Aided Private Schools in MP and Sahodaya Group of CBSE Schools said that the state is also considering to reopen schools for classes 9 to 12 soon. However, the government is yet to decide the dates of reopening. Along with this school reopening for classes 6 to 8 would also be discussed.
The decision on schools reopening for government schools is necessary as students are suffering due to the non-conduct of online classes, unlike private schools. Minister further said that due to lack of facilities in government schools, students are not getting proper education which may hamper the future of these students.
On the other hand, Madhya Pradesh High Court directed that schools can recover tuition fees from students until the government declares that the coronavirus pandemic is over. The tuition fees will not include fees towards other heads such as library charges, laboratory fees and computer fees. Also, schools cannot increase the fees for the academic year 2020-21.
Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, MPBSE reduced the syllabus of MP Board 10th and MP Board 12th. The syllabus has been reduced for the academic year 2020-21 by around 30 percent considering the academic loss that happened due to the ongoing pandemic situation.
