Odisha Board starts OAVET and OMAVET 2026 Schedule: Registration Begins, Last Date Nov 25

Entrance exam will be conducted on Friday, January 9, 2026, for admission to Class VI or lateral entry into Classes VII, VIII, and IX at Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas, and Odisha Mining Adarsha Vidyalayas.

Board of Secondary Education, Odisha has released exam and admission details for Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Entrance Test (OAVET) and Odisha Mining Adarsha Vidyalaya Entrance Test (OMAVET) 2026.

Online registration has begun on November 12, 2025, and will run until Monday, November 25, 2025, giving parents and students two week window to apply.

Online registrations process is to be completed through official websites, www.bseodisha.ac.in and www.oav.edu.in. For those students facing issues, board has suggested reaching out to nearby Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas with correct documents or calling helpline number 9861924807 for support.

Students and parents are advised to check general instructions and step-by-step guide available on official websites.

Entrance test will be conducted on Friday, January 9, 2026, where students will compete for direct admission to Class VI or lateral entry into Classes VII, VIII, and IX at Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas, and Odisha Mining Adarsha Vidyalayas.

As per official notice, results will be announced on Monday, February 9, 2026, followed by a merit list on same day by Collector and District Magistrate.

Successful candidates will be able to start their admission process from Wednesday, February 2, 2026, with last date to join being Friday, April 30, 2026.

Admit cards will be available for download from Friday, December 26, 2025.
