The secretary of OSSTA, Mohanty stated that the Odisha government should announce the insurance cover before resuming the evaluation process from May 20. The teacher’s association body of the state also demanded the government to increase the number of evaluation centres in the state.
Stating that there are a total of 60 evaluation centres so far, OSSTA secretary said, “In order to help the teachers travel to the evaluation centres amid the ongoing lockdown, an evaluation centre should be opened in each of the 314 blocks of the state.”
The report came after the Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE) declared to resume the evaluation process of the answer sheets of the Odisha Matric Exams 2020. According to the reports, the evaluation of Odisha 10th board exam answer sheets is supposed to begin on May 20. The class 10 board exams are also known as matric exam in the state. As the reports suggest, the Odisha BSE assigned 60 centres across the state for the evaluation and appointed 6000 extra evaluators for the task. The Board also directed the task force appointed to begin the evaluation of the Odisha 10th board exam answer sheets to follow the precautionary and advisory laid down by the Ministry of Health in order to prevent COVID-19 spread.
According to the sources, the State Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said that the Odisha Matric Exams 2020 result will be released in the month of July.
