State education board has ordered continuous monitoring to prevent any breach of confidentiality.
Rajasthan Education Department has issued fresh instructions to strengthen security arrangements for question papers of the Class 9 and Class 11 examinations.
According to directions issued by the board, if question papers are kept at PEEO or UCEO offices under any emergency situation, 24-hour security will be mandatory at those locations. Continuous monitoring has been ordered to prevent any breach of confidentiality.
The department has also instructed that round-the-clock duty of staff must be ensured at the concerned offices so that question papers remain secure at all times.
District Education Officer (Headquarters), Secondary Education, has been authorised to take a decision on storing question papers at a police station or at PEEEO/UCEO offices, depending on the situation.
In addition, officials involved in question paper handling, including PEEOs and UCEOs will be given special training. During the examination period, these officials will be appointed as in-charges and centre superintendents and will be responsible for the functioning of the respective centres.
The department said the instructions have been issued to ensure that the examination process remains secure and transparent.
