Girl students who have topped Class 8, Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exams 2020 in their respective districts will be felicitated with a cash reward.
Rajasthan government has announced that it will felicitate girl students who have topped in Class 8, Class 10 and Class 12 of the state Board in their respective districts with prize money. A total of 1,208 girls will be awarded with the cash money up to Rs 1 lakh under Indira Priyadarshini Award in Rajasthan.Indira Priyadarshini Award that was earlier was named as Padmakshi Award was changed by the Department in March 2020. A total amount of Rs 9 crore 92 lakh 45 thousand has been released on July 30, 2020. Govind Singh Dotasra, Minister of Education has tweeted in this regard that read, “An amount of Rs 9 crore 92 lakh 45 thousand has been released today for 1208 girls selected for Indira Priyadarshini Award in Rajasthan. Congratulations once again to the promising girls of the state for their bright future with best wishes.”
The award will be given to the Girls belonging to General, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes, Minorities, Below Poverty Line and Disabled Sections who have topped in RBSE 8th Board Exam 2020, RBSE 10th Board Exams 2020 and RBSE 12th Board Examination 2020 in their respective districts. Similarly, students of eight cadres studying in the Sanskrit Education Department, who have secured the first position in the state in the board's Class 8th, Entrance, and Senior Upadhyaya Board examinations will also be felicitated.
Toppers of Class 8 will be given prize money of Rs 40 thousand, Class 10 toppers will be given prize money of 75 thousand and Class 12 toppers will get Rs 1 lakh prize money.
