For the second consecutive year, the TBSE Class 10, 12 syllabus has been reduced for selected classes due to the disruptions caused by the pandemic.

Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has reduced the TBSE syllabus for the academic session 2021-22 for classes 10th and 12th by 30 per cent due to COVID-19 crisis.

“Students, who would appear for the class 10 and 12 board examinations in 2022, will write exams on 70 per cent of their syllabi. This decision was taken recently eyeing the pandemic,” said state’s secondary education board president Dr Bhabatosh Saha.

The final syllabus will be uploaded by the board on the official website. Students must watch this space to stay updated for the release of any official notification.

This is the second year in the running when the syllabi in Tripura schools under the board have been reduced for selected classes due to the disruptions caused by the pandemic. In academic session 2020-2021 too, students of classes 9 to 12 followed 30 per cent reduced syllabi.

All the educational institutions including schools, colleges and universities in Tripura are closed since April this year due to a surge in Covid-19 infections.

The Board postponed TBSE class 10 and 12 examinations this year for all students and later informed that the examinations for only main subjects will be conducted. However, the board is yet to take a final decision on the matter.
