TBSE Exams 2021 for Classes 3 to 9, 11 postponed amid surge in COVID19; pre-boards, boards to continue

Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has decided to postpone the TBSE final exams 2021 for Classes 3 to 9 and 11 amid rising pandemic situation.

Amid surging COVID19 cases in the state and considering the safety and security of students, Tripura government has decided to postpone the final examinations for the students of TBSE Class 3 to 9 and 11 until further order. “All TBSE examinations scheduled earlier from class 3 to 9 and 11 shall be treated as postponed w.e.f April 26, 2021 until further order,” reads the official statement.

However, the board will continue with the ongoing pre-board examinations of TBSE 10^th, 12^th as per the guidelines issued earlier. TBSE 10^th exams are slated to begin on May 19 and go on until June 4 and TBSE 12^th board exams are scheduled between May 18 and June 11.

“All the other exam instructions and guidelines already issued should remain operational,” the notice said.

The state government of Tripura had earlier ordered the suspension of offline classes and said that all colleges and universities will remain closed until further notice.

“Due to surge in Covid cases, it has been decided that from April 17, 2021 all the classes of schools, colleges and universities which are under the state government (Including private Institutions) would remain closed until further order. Only the pre-scheduled exams will be held,” Minister of school education, higher education, Nath tweeted earlier.
