The Department of School Education would decide on the marks of the private candidates, said the release.

The Tamil Nadu government exempted private candidates with disabilities from appearing for the TN class 12 standard supplementary examinations slated for August in view of the pandemic. Thus, the TN SSLC Result 2021 was declared for all disabled students who have been declared pass.

 โ€œThe Chief Minister has ordered exemption to the private candidates who have sought to write the exams in August as per section 17 (i) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, which seeks to provide modification to the curriculum and examination system to meet the needs of students with disabilities.  All of them are declared as all pass,โ€ an official press release said.

โ€œHowever, those desiring to write the exams can do so but the marks scored by them will be considered as final,โ€ the release added.

TN 12th result 2021 Statistics & Highlights

  • This is the first, pass percentage that has touched 100%All 8.5 lakh students have passed the exam. 
  • Of the total 8,18,129 registered candidates, 8,16,473 have declared qualified for the higher studies.
  •  Of the total 8,16,473 students, as many as 3,80,500 are boys and 4,35,973 are female students. In 2021, the pass percentage was 100%, 92.3% in 2020, 91.3% and 2019, and 91.1% in 2018
  • This year not even a single student got 100% or 600 marks. 
  • This year, 30,600 students (4.86%) scored from 551 to 600 marks in the science stream compared to 1,867 students in the previous year. In the commerce stream, 8,909 students scored in the same range compared to 4,437 students. In vocational group, 136 above 551 marks.
  • Most students got 450+ marks: None of the students obtained 600 marks out of 600 this year. A total of 39,679 students scored between 551-600 marks which are 90% and above. As many as 1,67,133 students scored between 501-550 and 2,22,522 students scored between 451-500 marks.
