While TSBIE states that all first-year inter students will be promoted to the next class, it also states that exams will be conducted in future, wherever possible.

With India reeling under the second wave of coronavirus, the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) decided to promote all TS Inter first-year students to the next class. It also states that the examinations for the class will be held in the future when the situation improves. The lack of clarity from the Board has put first-year students in a dilemma.

The order issued by TSBIE states that all first-year inter students will be promoted to the next year and that the examinations will be conducted in the future whenever possible.

Reacting to this, the board officials clarified that for now, the first-year students will be promoted to the next class without examinations. “However, exams will be held as and when it is feasible. Students will be awarded marks as per their performance in the exams. IN case they fail to clear them, they will be required to appear in the supplementary exams,” said Omar Jaleel, Secretary, TSBIE.

Regarding the TS 10th, 12th exams, the board has decided to cancel the TS SSC exams 2021 and promote all students to the next standard while the TS Inter second year exams 2021 have been postponed due to rising COVID cases in the state. The new exam schedule for conducting the examinations will be released after reviewing the situation. Students must watch out this space to stay updated for the release of any official notification.
