UGC and CBSE asked to coordinate on CBSE compartment result 2020 date: Education Minister

According to the reports, the move is taken after the Supreme Court of India directed CBSE to declare the CBSE compartment exam results at the earliest.

CBSE Compartment Exam Results 2020: Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' asked the University Grant Commission (UGC) and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) chairpersons to coordinate a meeting regarding the CBSE compartment result 2020 dates. According to the reports, the move is taken after the Supreme Court of India directed CBSE to declare the CBSE compartment exam results at the earliest. Earlier Supreme Court of India also directed University Grant Commission (UGC) to not release the academic calendar until September 24. The SC had asked both UGC and CBSE to inform regarding the same on September 24.

The ongoing Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) compartment exams of Class 10 and 12 were commenced on Tuesday, i.e. September 22, 2020. The CBSE Class 10 exams will be held until September 28, whereas CBSE Class 12 compartment exams will go on until September 29, 2020. The official reports suggest that approximately 2 lakh students are appearing in the CBSE compartment exams this year.

The examination are being conducted in a single shift from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm for both Class 10 and Class 12. Students must note that the candidates who will appear for the practical exams can appear for theory only in case they have passed in practical. The official schedule also suggests that the practical exam for both Class 10 and Class 12 will be completed before September 28, 2020. A practical examination for regular candidates in all the subjects will be held at each school for their own candidates.
