UP Board Improvement Exam

UP Board Exam 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will now allow Class 12 students to appear for UP Board improvement exam for the first time. Around 25,76,082 students registered this year will be able to improve their marks in any one of their five subjects, as the proposal has received in-principle approval.Β

Applications for UPMSP Intermediate improvement exam will be accepted after UP Board 12th results are declared by the end of April. While UP Board improvement exams are already held in boards like Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, this is the first time the UP Board is offering such an opportunity to Class 12 students.

UP Board Compartment Exam 2026

UP Board compartment exam has been available since 2020. If a student fails in one subject, they can take UPMSP 12th compartment exam for that subject to pass. Earlier, failing in one subject meant retaking exams for all five subjects.

UP Board class 10 and 12 board exams are being held. Considering Holi, the board has made special arrangements for exam security. All district school inspectors (DIOS) and exam centre in-charges have been instructed not to leave headquarters. Question papers and answer sheets will be protected 24 hours a day.
