WB 12th Results 2020: Pending exams cancelled; results to be announced by July 31

WBCHSE has cancelled the remaining WB 12th exam and will now be announcing the WB Class 12th Result 2020 by July 31. Read further to know more.

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) will not be conducting the West Bengal Board 12th Examination 2020 from July 2 to July 8, the state Education Minister Partha Chatterjee announced.

The WBCHSE HS Exam 2020 was scheduled to be held from July 2 to July 6, however, it has been cancelled following the Supreme Court hearing wherein it was decided that the CBSE and ICSE exams will be cancelled. 

With the remaining West Bengal Board Class 12th Examination cancelled, it is expected that the Board will declare the WBCHSE Result 2020 on July 31 on the official website.

"If any candidate had reservations about the evaluation method of the remaining papers, he or she can appeal to the council for writing those papers after the COVID-19 situation improved and get the new dates for the exams,” he added.

Around 8 lakh candidates appeared for the examination and were waiting for the remaining papers as well. The practical examination as per schedule was conducted in January- February 2020. The remaining papers were scheduled to be conducted from 10 am to 1.15 pm in the state.

Due to delay in WB 12th Board Examination 2020, this year, the West Bengal Board 12th Result 2020 is also postponed. In 2019,  WB Board declared the Class 12 results on May 27, 2019. A total of 8,16,243 candidates had appeared for the examination and the overall pass percentage was 86.92 percent. 

The Board also give the option for students who fail to achieve the passing criteria in WBCHSE Examination 2020 to appear for the supplementary examination held by the West Bengal Board. The students must note that the WBCHSE Result for all the streams will be announced on the same day.
