West Bengal Board has released the WB Higher Secondary result 2021 today at 3 pm via press conference. Students can check the WB HS toppers and other result statistics below.

West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has announced the WB HS Result 2021 today at 3 pm via press conference. The result has been made available to students for download at 4 pm. They’ll be able to check the result online, via SMS, and on App using their roll number and date of birth.

WB HS Toppers 2021

Along with the WBCHSE Result 2021, the board also released the WB 12th toppers, merit list and result statistics.The top scorer of the WB HS result is a Muslim girl from Murshidabad has scored 499 out of 500.

The toppers and statistics have been updated below soon after it is released. However, it is expected that this year, since the WBCHSE exams were not conducted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board did not release the toppers list. 

Students can check the WB HS Result 2021 statistics below:

  • 97% Students Pass: Among the enrolled students, 97 per cent students have qualified
  • The pass percentage is the same among boys and the girls this year at 97.70
  • While 99.28 per cent students from Science have qualified, it is 99.8 per cent from Commerce and 98.47 per cent and 97.81 per cent from Urdu Medium and Nepali respectively.
  • The top scorer of the wbresults.nic.in HS result is a Muslim girl from Murshidabad has scored 499 out of 500.
  • A+ Grade: Marks Between 80-89:  49,370 students 
  • A Grade: Marks Between 70-79: 95,758 students
  • B+ Grade: Marks Between 60-69: 1,65,1,86 students
  • As many as 49,370 students have scored A+ Grade.
  • A total of 86 students clinch top 10 spots

WB 12th Toppers list 2020

Last year too, West Bengal Board could not conduct the WB HS exams for all subjects due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic and thus, did not release the list of toppers.  

WB 12th Results 2020 Statistics

  • Pass percentage touched 90.13%, highest ever
  • Review cost was reduced from Rs 100 to Rs 75 and Scrutiny cost is now Rs 50 instead of Rs 60 per paper.
  • Total students enrolled - 7,75,364
  • Total students appeared - 7,61,583
  • Total students passed - 6,80,057
  • Pass percentage - 90.13% 
  • Boys pass percentage - 90.44% 
  • Girls pass percentage - 90%
  • Last year 84,746 students scored over 80% marks, out of these 30,220 scored over 90%. 
  • Result Mark sheets were distributed by July 31
  • The topper scored 499 out of 500 or 99.8% marks.
  • 83% students passed in science stream. In commerce, the pass percentage was 92.22%, and in arts stream 88.74% students passed.

The overall pass percentage rose by approximately 3.5% in the year 2020 as compared to 2019. The pass percentage of boys, as well as girls, has increased in the year 2020. Last year, the pass percentage was recorded as the highest ever at 90.13. One can refer to the table below for more details on statistics of previous years’ West Bengal 12th result:
