WBCHSE has cancelled Class 11 examination and has changed Class 12 board exam timings. Also, in a departure from the norm, Class 12 exams would be held at their respective schools in June, on account of the COVID19 tsunami across the state.
West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination (WBCHSE) has cancelled Class 11 final examination in the state due to surge in COVID19 cases across the country. All students will be promoted to the next class without holding exams. The Council has also changed the WB 12th Board exam timings for this year. The official notice is available on the official site of WBCHSE on wbchse.nic.in.
The Class 12 examinations that were scheduled from 10 am to 1:15 pm will now be conducted from 12 noon to 3:15 pm. The Board has directed the schools that the topics of the reduced syllabus of Class 11, which are related to HS exam, should be completed in the first quarter of Class 12.
The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) said that board exams for Class 12 students, in a departure from the norm, would be held at their respective schools in June, on account of the COVID19 tsunami across the state.
Mahua Das, the president of the council, said in a statement that exams will be held during the second half of the day on the scheduled dates.
The official notice reads, “Because of the current pandemic situation and other reasons, the Council has decided to cancel the annual examination of Class 11, 2021. Head of the Institution is being requested to promote all students of Class 11 to Class 12.”
WBBSE has scheduled the Class 10 board examination between June 1 and June 10, 2021. WBCHSE 12th examination are scheduled to begin from June 15 and continue till July 2, 2021.
