West Bengal WBCHSE Exam 2022 to begin tomorrow

WBCHSE Exam 2022: West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) is going to commence WBCHSE Exam 2022 tomorrow on April 2, 2022. The first paper of the exam would be Bengali (A), English (A), Hindi (A), Nepali (A), Urdu, Santhali, Odia, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi while the exam will last on April 27 with the paper of Biological Science, Business Studies, and Political Science. Students and teachers need to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols during the exam.

As per an official from the West Bengal board, an estimated 7.45 lakh students are appearing for the class 12 exam this year. The students need to write the exam in their respective schools, they are not required to appear for the exam in other affiliated schools this year.

"Examinees will write the papers at home centres (own schools) as certain covid protocols are to be followed in making seating arrangements for the candidates and for that, more school buildings are required compared to other years," WBCHSE President Chiranjib Bhattacharya told media.

Last year, the board could not conduct the WBCHSE exam due to the COVID-19 outbreak. However, the board had declared the result for the exam based on marks obtained by the students in their previous exam. In 2020, the board had commenced the 'Uchcha Madhyamik Pariksha' (class 12 exam) before the pandemic hit the country. However, the exam was scrapped midway and the board had to devise a mechanism to award marks for the cancelled papers.

This year, WBCHSE has already announced time table for the exam. As per the previously announced schedule, the exams were to be held from April 2 to April 20. However, the board has recently revised the WBCHSE date sheet 2022 and the exam has been rescheduled from April 2 to April 27. Students can check the revised WB HS exam date sheet below.
